Honey Toast

Honey Toast is the perfect combination of salty, sweet, hot, and cold.  Baked hollowed out bread filled with cubed bread, baked with honey butter.  Ice cream to top it off with a drizzle of honey.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Uncut white bread
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 scoops your favorite ice cream
  • honey for drizzling

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF. Cut your bread about 3 inches tall depending on how tall you'd like your "tower"to be.
  • Hollow out inside leaving some space between the edges. Don't cut all the way through the bottom! Cut the inside of the bread into cubes
  • Heat small skillet with butter and honey until its well incorporated (2 minutes).
  • Put all bread on baking sheet and spread honey butter over every piece! For the hollowed out loaf, just the inside (no crust needs to be covered).
  • Stick in oven for about 10 minutes or until it becomes golden brown.
  • Now it's time to assemble. Fill the box toast with the cubes and scoop your favorite ice cream on top. Drizzle with honey and ENJOY!
